Introduction to the School of Transportation Engineering
Relying on the national development strategy of "The Belt and Road", the School of Transportation Engineering is oriented to the Northeast region, serving Liaoning's economic construction, and training middle and advanced technical personnel and management personnel high quality for the transportation industry. There are nearly 900 undergraduates and 170 graduate students. There are 52 faculties, including 29 professors and associate professors, 3 doctoral supervisors and 26 people have doctorates. The college has many candidates for Support Program for Outstanding talents in the New Century of Ministry of Education, Support Program for Liaoning "Distinguished Professor", Liaoning outstanding science and technology planner, the first and second level of Talents Project of Liaoning Province, and Support Program for Outstanding talents in colleges and universities in Liaoning Province. We have five undergraduate majors: road, bridge and river crossing engineering; surveying and mapping engineering; logistics engineering; traffic engineering and transportation engineering. We have a Doctor's authorization point for the secondary discipline of Bridge and Tunnel Engineering, 1 Master degree authorization point for the first discipline of transportation engineering and 3 Master degree authorization point for the secondary discipline of Bridge and Tunnel Engineering, Civil Engineering Survey and Vehicle Engineering. There is Liaoning research center of low-carbon pavement materials engineering, road engineering laboratory, bridge engineering laboratory, surveying and mapping and geographic information engineering laboratory, photogrammetry and remote sensing laboratory, transportation laboratory, logistics engineering laboratory, traffic clean energy laboratory.
Under the background of the national strategy of "The Belt and Road", the college has made fruitful achievements in the research in the field of road construction, bridge construction, geographic surveying and mapping, and transportation energy. In the past three years, the college has undertaken more than 30 provincial and ministerial projects, including National major projects, National Natural Science Fund projects, provincial Natural Science Fund projects. The college also undertook more than 60 horizontal projects for local services, the amount of income money was nearly 20 million yuan. More than 30 patents were authorized, and many scientific and technological achievements at provincial-level were awarded.
The college have signed an agreement on the joint training of undergraduate and graduate students with and the University of Miami, the Kumamoto University, Japan, and other well-known universities, and maintain long-term cooperation with University of Oxford, University of Michigan, Tongji University, Shanghai Jiaotong University, etc. 21 agreements have also been signed with well-known enterprises in the transportation industry at home and abroad for the joint training of talents, joint laboratories, joint internships / training bases, etc. The employment rate of graduates and the quality of employment come out in front for three consecutive years.
